May be it is me, but having to pay so much for a monitor where you need to take steps to prevent burn in, and always having that concern about burn in, just don't make sense to me. It looks great, but there's a significant cost trade off here. Burn in risks have been reduced over time, but I think we will never get to the point of not having to worry about burn ins when using this sort of monitors in work related use case. I don't buy a monitor only for games, so it will be used for games, videos and work.
Imagine you use it for 1-2 hour per day. The rest of the time it would stay off.I agree with a lot of the sentiments here.
A 4k screen should be at least 32".
27" is for 1440p and burn in should not be a thing in 2025.
If I was to spend almost $1000 for a monitor, I would expect no issues for at least 7 years.
Too early for OLED. But I digress, I am sure there are people hopping all over these new OLED's just to have the latest and greatest.
