A solid-state battery breakthrough may be taking shape in Maryland

In the scheme of technology development, 60 years is a long time.
True, but to be honest, I was really referring to their commercial availability. Sorry, I got a bit lazy with my responses here. I was 21 in 91’ back when lithium batteries became commercially available. Seems like it was just yesterday, lol.

I am not even a big EV fan, but us as a nation, saying goodbye to gasoline will be a good thing.
Furthermore, I know a couple of dictatorships that will begin to lose power as soon as big countries change ICE cars to EVs. We need it. Its just, the improvement is so slow, mistakes are many

This is one of the very very few 'breakthrough' articles that actually has promise. Mainly because it can be incorporated into existing battery framework , making transition relatively seamless to the average consumer.

We'll see though...

Do you recall the remake of War of the World? All those gasoline powered cars clogging the roads, everyone hoping to escape the Martians, etc. Now imagine all or even half of those cars as EVs. Not a pretty sight! :cold_sweat:
